In 2016, we will continue to offer our preexisting programs: <’Culture
and Art’ Saturday School Program>, <Art Therapy Class>, <Counseling
for Multicultural Children>. In addition, we are planning to launch two new
projects, which are <Violin class> and <Publishing the first issue of
Rainbow Dream Bulletin>.
Thanks to your attention and support, during the second half
of last year, fundraising for <Violin Class> finally came to be completed.
Rainbow Dream has started working
with multicultural families since 2010, and now we can proudly say that we have
a sufficiently organized system for managing adequate, high quality programs to
some extent. However, it is also true that we still do not receive enough media
attention to generate in-depth discussions about the values and underlying
philosophy of our organization, Rainbow Dream. We would like for as many people
as possible to take interest in our social cooperative organization that
represents and supports multicultural children and families in Korea. And it
would be helpful if such media publicity could induce people to participate in
government policy suggestions for multicultural families, making Korea a better
place for such families and children to live in. These are the reasons for our
starting the new project, <Publishing the first issue of Rainbow Dream
Bulletin>.
In this bulletin, we will not be short of article materials
to publish. There are wonderful volunteers at Rainbow Dream, the stories of
whom we can write about, and the case studies our piano and art class volunteer
teachers are working on would be of great value as well.
Recently our <Mothers’ Homeland Cultural
Calendar for Multicultural Children-China and Vietnam> has came out, which
we have been working on since last year. You can watch the process and overview
of our calendar project through this Youtube video below.

If you would like to purchase this calendar
from our organization and make it a present for Chinese or Vietnamese
multicultural families around you, please contact us.
The calendar project was something new to us, so we had a
hard time while working on it. We’d like to give a big thanks to Mi-Hyun Jeong (Youngshin
Girls high school), who designed both covers of the Chinese version and the
Vietnamese version.
We also appreciate the devoted services of Jong-Ho Kim (Myeonmokhigh
school) and Hoe-Chun Lee(Kyunggi high school).
We express a deep gratitude to our mentor, Yang-ho Lee (History
teacher of Purunsup Waldorf school), who improved and elevated the quality of our
Mothers’ Homeland Calendar.
