<The News on the
General Meeting and the First Issue of our Magazine>
On Feb. 13 there was the general meeting of the
association members, where there were the report of business plans of 2016, the
report on final accounts and the business plan of 2017.
Last year we had
multi-cultural art school on Saturdays (piano, Korean/English/Math, art play)
as well as art therapy lesson (Summer/Winter) and violent class. Also, we had
one-to-one art therapy, Happy Move and Mentoring Party throughout the year.
As a special event
early in this year we produced a historical and cultural desk calendar for
multi-cultural children that includes the visitation to mother’s country. We
published two kinds of calendar about China and Vietnam. In the end of the year
we launched a new web-magazine of Multicultural Nuhmuhsuh. As we were having
more programs, we were concerned about the finance, but fortunately we received
so sufficient donations to get out of red.
For details, we
will post the document about the management announcement of social cooperative
on our homepage by the end of March, after finishing to report it to the
government.
Meanwhile, we have
continued to run most of the programs as usual in 2017. And the members of
association who participated in the general meeting decided to print out 200
hard copies of the first issue of Multicultural Nuhmuhsuh in February because
of its good contents and design. When the printed copy is ready, we will send
it to every contributor and supporter.
Reflecting on the
past 7 years of this ministry, I found out that there were some problems of the
donation system of both through automatic transfer and through direct remittance.
So as a solution, we’ve decided to use the CMS membership registration system,
about which we are going to announce through promotional pamphlets. We ask for
your great concerns.
For Feb. Happy
Move Mentoring Party was featured by “Etiquette Lessons through Drama” on
Feb.18. As many as 30 children joyfully participated in this party. Especially,
we gave one box of pear pouch to each family, which had been donated to the
Rebel of Rudolph on the last Christmas.
Happy Move Crews
are making lots of efforts not only to prepare a variety of mentoring
activities but to prepare for the activities to be continued after next year,
producing promotional video by themselves and presentation. Special thanks to
them!
