<Thank You for Supporting Us This Year>

On the 17^th of December, Happy Move hosted a Christmas party for our Rainbow Dream children. And on the 24^th, they successfully carried out the Secret Santa program in the evening.

More than 30 children came to our Christmas party and we had a merry and festive time altogether. We made trees together, our children received presents, and lastly, we had a chicken and pizza party.

On the 24^th, 20 volunteers participated in our ‘Dolph’s Rebellion’ Secret Santa program and gave out presents to 20 children who attended Saturday School with perfect attendance.

This time, because we were able to fund-raise the budget for the presents and also receive the presents that we needed as donations, we did not have to suffer from shortage of money or presents and therefore, could give our children a pleasant surprise (of abundant presents). Next month, our supporters will be able to see a video report of this beautiful event.

This year, just like every other year, we opened Saturday School for 50 weeks (closing our doors only during Thanksgiving and Lunar New Year’s Day) and offered our children study sessions (Korean, English, Math, basic English Speaking), piano lessons, and art classes. Also, during summer and winter vacation, we held Art Therapy sessions for our foreign mothers and children on Saturday mornings. And throughout April to June, we temporarily opened Wednesday Violin Class, which received a great deal of attention from mothers and children alike.

Earlier this year, we made and distributed calendars called Mothers’ Homeland History & Culture Calendar <China, Vietnam series>. This project had some good responses and so now, we are working on the first issue of our <Rainbow Dream Webzine> (2017 spring issue).

People often ask how we are able to open Saturday School every week. This is only possible because of our passionate volunteers. And any program that requires budget for lesson fees can be managed thanks to our supporters’ donations.

Supporters will be able to get contribution donation receipts (for this year’s donations) from the National Tax Administration hometax page starting from January 15^th next year. We will send your receipts by January 6^th through email.

Lastly, if any corporation supporters would like to place advertisements in the first issue of our Rainbow Dream Webzine, feel free to contact us any time. Since webzines are not very expensive to make, we will not take advertising costs and place your advertisements with a thankful heart.
