Wishes for the New Year^^
In early January, we organized our donation
receipts and entered them into the simplified ‘year-end tax adjustment’ system
that the Office of National Tax Administration offers through their home-tax
website. And we are diligently preparing for the upcoming audit on the 31st
of January.
Last year, we had some good and bad news
from our Rainbow Dream families. Doyoung’s mother had her third child late last
month, and the baby and mother are all in good health. On the other hand,
Su-bin’s grandmother had surgery for cancer on the 23rd. Since
Su-bin’s grandmother was so worried before the surgery, we reached out to a
social welfare worker at the Korea Institute of Radiological and Medical
Sciences, and fortunately, she was able to receive some help from the nearest
Community Service Center, which was a relief.
Meanwhile, we have delivered the donated 600,000
won (education fee) to the previously introduced maladjusted student (in the
news of November) who voluntarily withdrew from school. He has gone through
some severe domestic violence and family breakdown and is now living at a shelter.
Director of the shelter sends his warm thanks to our donators.
To our sponsors and volunteers,
We hope that all our sponsors and
volunteers will continue to offer positive energy to our Rainbow Dream children
as you have done for the past 8 years.
