As we have previously announced, we launched
our ‘Math Visiting-Lesson Scholarship’ pilot program this month. We are
offering this scholarship to three children as of now. In the future, we hope
that, with a bigger sponsorship, we could give help to more children who need guidance
and support in following their schoolwork.
We also have one more child to introduce to
our Rainbow Dream members. He is a student who has left school because of
maladjustment. He is currently staying at a domestic violence victims’ welfare
facility without his mother. Our goal is to financially support this child for
3 months before he enters night high school. The estimate budget for this work
is 200,000won per month, which totals 600,000won for three months. The director
of the facility reached out for our help in this matter, but since we do not
have any budget saved up for this kind of work, we would like to raise a fund
for this child’s educational expenses. We expect that if our members could each
donate a small amount, we would be able to solve the problem of supporting this
child’s education.
