Rainbow Dream Weekday Program Introduction

As union members, sponsors, and volunteers all know, we host Saturday School every weekend. So, on Saturdays, piano, art, and study sessions take place, and once a month, Happy Move hosts a mentoring party after Saturday School.

As weekday programs, we offer ‘Art Therapy’ sessions, ‘Math Visiting-Lesson,’ and ‘Art Psychotherapy’ visiting-lessons. Art Therapy sessions are offered to a mother and son who have been through domestic violence. And math visiting-lessons are now provided to three children whose households cannot afford to pay private math lessons. The last weekday program, Art Psychotherapy visiting-lessons are geared toward a household where the parents are divorced and the grandmother is the guardian of the children and two other children who are living at a domestic violence shelter. According to the shelter manager, children have become much less violent after these Art Psychotherapy sessions. So, our hopes are high about these programs, that they will improve our children’s conditions.
